Use T-shirt sizes. Often teams get caught up in estimating Story Points: They continue to relate them to fixed effort; They have a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that each estimate represents a distribution (“something around 13”) rather than a number. When this happens, I use T-shirt sizes (XXS to XXL).
