Status quo analysis: make your organization fit for the future
Our status quo analysis lays the foundation for sustainable improvements. It provides a clear overview of your organization's strengths, weaknesses and potential for improvement. It also helps you to create a sound decision-making basis for concrete change measures by clearly prioritizing the potential for improvement.
Who is the status quo analysis for?
The status quo analysis is aimed at companies and organizations that want to make sustainable improvements. It is ideal for Managers, Change Manager and teams who want to make their organization more customer-oriented, efficient and successful. In particular, organizations facing challenges such as major structural changes, cultural change or professionalization of processes benefit from this structured approach.
What is the technical scope of a status quo analysis?
Which specialist topics are used in the analysis is determined by the situation of the organization and the challenges. If a cultural change is desired, the status quo analysis will shed light on corporate culture. If, for example, a specific professionalization of processes is the goal, a number of best practice models created for development and service organizations are used. If the client wishes to make the organization more capable of delivering, the analysis is carried out on the basis of the topics listed below. The analysis is usually based on one or more reference models or best practice models against which the observations are checked.

Technical scope of the analysis for an organization's ability to deliver
The following topics are evaluated as part of the analysis for delivery capability:
Our approach to the analysis
1. conduct interviews
The first step in our analysis is to conduct interviews with various stakeholders in your organization. We talk to various hierarchical levels, from managers to operational teams and other relevant roles. We select representative interview partners together. The selection depends heavily on the topics and organizational units that are highlighted in the analysis. The interviews are confidential so that the interviewees can speak openly about existing processes and challenges.
2. supplement document analysis
In parallel to the interviews, we analyse relevant documents/information at organizational level (e.g. strategies, processes) and application level (actual working documents). This analysis provides additional insights and creates a sound basis for the assessment.
3. consolidate observations
After collecting the data, we compile the results from interviews and documents. The observations are structured and organized using a reference model in order to produce a preliminary result with strengths and potential for improvement.
4. check preliminary results
The consolidated observations are reviewed and validated with the interviewees to clarify misunderstandings and ensure that the results are correct and correspond to the interviewees' picture.
5. derive recommendations for action
Based on the validated observations, we develop concrete measures for improvement. The measures are prioritized according to their impact on business success in order to tackle the biggest levers for your organization first.
6. presentation of the results
Finally, we present the results to you in a clear and concise form. The presentation includes the strengths and weaknesses of your organization as well as a prioritized list of improvement measures that will provide you with a concrete roadmap.
Let's talk. We'll find a solution. We are Timo Foegen, Yvonne Fischer, Tina Eisoldt, Daniel Votta and Lutz Koch and we look forward to talking to you.
How long does a status quo analysis take?
The typical answer to this question is: It depends. It actually depends on various factors, such as the size of the organization, number of locations and the technical scope of the analysis. It also depends on the desired accuracy of the results. A status quo analysis can take between 2 days and 4 weeks. We work together to determine what is required and how quickly this can be done.
